◎關於我們

本校地處東臺灣以「觀光立縣」為發展主軸的花蓮縣,縣內自然人文資源非常豐富,觀光旅遊休閒產業蓬勃發展。因此,為因應在地政府發展觀光政策以及本校之轉型發展,本系於民國92年08月先創立二專部旅運管理科。三年後於民國95年08月成立學院部旅遊管理學系。

本學系在校長的專業帶領之下,不但負責成立教育部「國際青年來台旅遊東部推廣中心」,並於93年12月起即受託管理花蓮縣政府「火車站與航空站旅遊服務中心」,創下觀光局將遊客服務中心委託專案管理之全國首例。

花蓮縣旅遊服務中心在本系師生的管理服務下,過去兩年到訪遊客已突破近20萬人次。由於服務用心使本校於96年3月2日榮獲觀光局頒發「96優良熱心團體獎」。

同時,本學系為落實產官學合作及加強學生實務學習,學生除校外實習900小時之課程及三明治教學課程之外,並開本校學生海外實習參訪首例,自93年起陸續赴新加坡、馬來西亞及韓國參訪研習。

95年02月間,本學系主動負責主辦史無前例的全國觀光「國際郵輪海上研習營」,在世界知名的公主遊輪「墨西哥蔚藍海岸」航線舉辦,獲致豐碩之成果並深獲媒體各界之好評。

本系教育目標在培育中高級旅遊服務業專業經理人才,並朝向「旅遊事業經營管理」之專業領域發展,期望可強化東臺灣觀光大縣之觀光專業服務人才,並協助培育地方產業服務人力,以提升地方服務品質並促進繁榮。

★透過三明治建教合作,落實產學互動,深化學習效果以造就社會可用之專業人才。

★採多元化教學,開辦校外參訪課程,延聘具專業之技術教師,落實「技術領先」的技職教育理想。

★受託管理花蓮縣旅遊服務中心,培訓執行青輔會Tour buddy服務網,並設有實習旅行社、國際青年來台旅遊東部推廣中心、導覽解說培訓教室、旅遊專業圖書資訊中心、 電子商務教室、觀光行動解說巴士、模擬空服機艙及機場教室等專業設備。

◎師資

為提昇觀光領域學術水準,本系老師不但赴美澳進修,亦每年積極參與各項在職進修機會,學術研究論文發表及參與各項專題學術講座等活動,藉以培養創新及研究風氣。

◎升學進修管道

升學管道暢通,可進入國內大學校院相關研究系所就讀,以及赴國外大學繼續進修學位。

 

◎就業發展

畢業後之就業機會相當多元,就業企業包括旅遊事業、運輸服務事業、會議展覽事業遊樂園服務業、航空業及運動觀光業等。除了可擔任企業之基層幹部外,亦可從事行銷企劃、規劃設計、研究發展等工作。並輔導考取交通部觀光局承辦之領隊、導遊人員證照。

 

 

 

Department of Tourism and Travel Management

About Us

Taiwan Hospitality and Tourism College is located in Hualien county on the east coast of Taiwan. Located in the heart of abundant natural and cultural resources, tourism is a leading industry in this area. The Department of Travel Management supplies highly skilled professionals to the rapidly-developing tourism and leisure industries found locally and throughout the island.

Brief history of the Department of Travel Management:

lAugust 2003: Establishment of a 2-Year Travel Management Degree Program

lDecember 2004: Establishment of the “Train and Airport Travel Service Centers” in co-operation with the Hualien County Government, Tourism Bureau. Served over 200,000 visitors in the first two years of service.

 

 

l2004: Implementation of an International Student Internship Program with institutions in Singapore, Malaysia and Korea. Requirements include over 300 hours of coursework in addition to practical training.

 

lAugust 2005: Establishment of the Department of Travel Management. Opened the “International Youth Travel in Eastern Taiwan Promotion Center” in co-operation with the Ministry of Education

lFebruary 2006: Hosted the "International Cruise Camp" in co-operation with the world-famous Princess Cruises along the "Mexican Riviera" route

 

 

 

 

lMarch 2007: Received the “Most Friendly and Enthusiastic Group Award” for excellence in the travel industry by the Tourism Bureau

 

Research and development characteristics of the Department of Travel Management:

 

lAdopted an educational philosophy that aims to cultivate enthusiastic, dedicated service professionals with both local and international perspective throughout all branches of the Travel and Tourism Industry.

 

lCultivate business-academic co-operation as an integral component of student training, teacher research and community interaction.

lCultivate a diversified educational environment by including student exchange programs, hiring teachers with international technical expertise, promoting advanced technological facilities and ideas in the classroom and requiring mandatory practical training

For travel operation and management professionals including Operating Procedures, Travel Agent, Travel Planning and Tourism Marketing

l Tour guide interpretation
History, geography, culture and tourism studies of Taiwan and a variety of foreign countries. Substantial coursework dedicated to language skills (English and Japanese) , interpretation skills, tour and activity design.

l Financial and Human Resource Management

l Service Industry Awareness and Training
Developing the basic concepts of the service industry including service evaluation, quality control, business ethics, consumer behavior, tourism disputes, crisis management, indigenous culture and art

Abridged four-year study curriculum with emphasis on basic geography, history, national culture and the travel agency business, work.
